PREPAIRING CASE-BASED QUESTIONS IN MATHEMATICS

As we explore new ways to engage our students, conducting effective assessments remains a key priority. We must adopt and promote approaches to assessment that elicit novel, authentic and thoughtful responses. To provide students with a relevant opportunity to see theory in practice, to require students to analyze data in order to reach a conclusion, and to develop analytic, communicative, and collaborative skills along with content knowledge, Case-based questions are a better assessment technique.
